World renowned Hermitage hotel in the Mount Cook national park is the only hotel in this area. The National park, is approximately 330km south of Christchurch and 280 kms north of Queenstown. There are various wings in the hotel with most of the rooms facing Mount Cook. The rooms are of high standard following refurbishment, the top three floors of the Aoraki wing being the most dramatic and the highest demand.
