Indian Resort Mauritius

Impeccably designed in the traditional style of a Mauritian colonial sugar estate, the Indian Resort is set in a wonderful location on the southwest coast of Mauritius, just 90 minutes from the airport. The Indian Resort is situated beside a beautiful, ½ mile-long white sand beach and in a tropical estate at the foot of Le Morne Mountain. The outstanding amount and range of facilities at the Indian Resort make this hotel especially good for families and couples alike.

Facilities

There are 7 superb restaurants to choose from at the Indian Resort, covering a huge range of international cuisine including Indian, Italian and wonderful local seafood dishes. After dinner, you can retire to one of the 4 excellent bars available. The Dolphin Spa Health & Beauty Centre offers Chinese healing, natural products, 3 invigorating Jacuzzis and a swimming pool. Kids and teenagers can be kept more than happily occupied with their own club, and a babysitting service is available upon request.

Also available for your pleasure are 3 swimming pools, tennis courts and a wide variety of watersports (including a PADI dive centre, deep sea fishing and snorkelling).

Rooms

The 349 air-conditioned rooms at the Indian Resort all face the picturesque lagoon and are decorated in the three different, distinctive styles of Indian, Marine and Mountain.

Standard Marine Rooms: 60 in total, of which 38 have twin beds. (There is also the possibility of an additional bed for children up to 12 years). All have a terrace, mini-bar, TV with satellite and video player. Bathrooms contain WCs, shower and separate bath. Rooms also have a safe with digital combination code.

Indian Privilege Rooms: 10 in total with twin beds, terrace and ocean or garden view. All rooms have a mini-bar, TV with satellite and video player; bathroom with WC, separate shower and bath and a safe with digital combination code. As with the Standard Marine Rooms, there is the possibility of an additional bed for children of up to 12 years.

Family Rooms (2 communicating rooms): All have splendid sea or garden views. All rooms have a bathroom with WC, bath and shower; mini-bar, TV with satellite and video player, plus a safe with digital combination code. A unique feature of these Family Rooms is a Children’s Corner (hosting up to 2 children) and there is also the possibility of an additional bed for children of up to 12 years.

Suites situated on the 2nd floor boast a large balcony with sea views, and the decor of each suite follows Indian, modern and sport themes. All suites have a sitting area, dining area with mini-bar and bathroom with separate bath and shower and dressing area.
