The Residence

Reminiscent of a colonial sugar plantation, this amazing resort is nestled amongst lush tropical vegetation along a kilometer or white sand beach.   The Residence blends local woods and silks with muted and warm colors to create a truly harmonious resort at one with the beautiful scenery surrounding it.

Your private butler is available to cater to your every whim during the day.  At night enjoy the local jazz musicians as the music wafts over the resort creating and air of romance and nostalgia for bygone days when life was slow and easy.

Facilities

The Bar is the place to visit for a leisurely breakfast or relaxing tea.  At night enjoy live music and tropical cocktails. The Dining Room is the main restaurant and offers a sumptuous breakfast or and elegant dinner.  For lunch try The Verandah for light lunches and ice cream.  For a more tropical experience have dinner on the edge of the ocean at The Plantation.  The cuisine focuses on local seafood and Creole specialties with Sega dancing performances to be enjoyed during dinner.

For daytime water activities The Residence offers complimentary water-skiing, windsurfing, and snorkeling along with many other water sports.  Land sports include tennis, volleyball and aerobics.  For a fee there is deep-sea fishing, an undersea walk, cruising and diving.

The spa, also known as The Sanctuary, offers a wide variety of massages and other body treatments to relax your mind, body and soul.  There are also classes in Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi to enjoy.

Rooms 

Colonial Rooms

When choosing a colonial room there are garden view, ocean view and ocean front vistas to select from.   All these rooms have king-sized beds or twin beds and a private terrace.  There is a large marble bathroom and a walk in closet.  The rooms are all decorated in the colonial style.

Colonial Garden View Junior Suites and Senior Suites

The junior suites have an open living room and bedroom plan, while the senior suites have a separated living room.  Their large size makes them perfect for adults with children.

Colonial Ocean View and Ocean Front Suites

These suites have four poster beds and are decorated in island colonial style.  There is a separate living room and a well furnished private terrace.  Each offers a view of the ocean with the ocean front suites looking directly out over the sea without and impediments.
