But as lively and fun as the Caribbean unarguably is, it is also a part of the world where the emphasis is on slowing right down, kicking back and living life at an easy pace. It’s not difficult to do so with such wonderful weather, many of the world’s best beaches to flop on; warm, pellucid seas offering perfect snorkelling or scuba diving, and such convivial people to make you feel so at home. Dramatic landscapes of shimmering lagoons and waterfalls; mysterious mountains and volcanic peaks; deep rainforest, swaying palm trees and varicoloured flora all contribute to the Caribbean sense of relaxation.
