White Sand was announced as “Top Destination Wedding Travel Agency” for second year running!
The recession may be biting hard, but you’d never know it by talking to Tonbridge-based wedding planner Mark Bell, whose company White Sand Weddings has recently announced record booking figures for 2009.
White Sand Weddings specialises in weddings abroad for UK couples, destinations including Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua and Mauritius.
Mr. Bell comments, “Overseas weddings appear to be bucking the recession trend in the economic climate right now. That’s probably because they’re so much cheaper. UK weddings cost an average of £20,000. Our average booking is £5,000 all-in, with the warm weather and beaches included.”
White Sand was announced as “Top Destination Wedding Travel Agency” for the UK on December 5th 2009 at the Sandals Travel Agency Recognition (S.T.A.R) awards held in Jamaica. The award was based on the volume of sales achieved over the past 12 months. This is the second consecutive year that the company has acheived this fantastic award.
Mr. Bell continues, “The award is completely down to our customers. They’ve given us their trust over the last few years and in return we’ve been able to give them the wedding of their dreams for a quarter of what you’d pay in the UK.”
