With so many tour operators offering weddings abroad, we wanted to bring UK couples something extra-special for their overseas wedding.
White Sand Weddings was created out of a passion to offer more to wedding couples. It’s something that sits close to the heart of founders Mark & Rebecca Bell and the fantastic team that works relentlessly to ensure your wedding abroad is as amazing and stress-free as it should be.

Many moons ago, Rebecca and I got married in the tranquil sunset beach resort of Anna Maria Island, Florida. It was the perfect wedding. The wedding location and accommodation were awesome, the service was exceptional and the finishing touches were incredible.
From the moment we stepped off the plane the whole experience was like a dream – and best of all, the weather was beautiful. And it was all ours, just as we’d pictured it, followed by the most fabulous honeymoon in New York.
Our dream of romantic weddings abroad
One evening over champagne, we realised we’d created something really special, something that no other travel company in the UK could offer… a unique wedding abroad. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could offer a similar service to other couples planning an exclusive wedding abroad?
Back in the UK, the idea began to take shape. Our ideal was to create an overseas weddings package that would allow couples to build a bespoke wedding abroad with all those personal touches that you can never get from an ordinary tour operator.
Rebecca and I spent the next 12 months working with a top USA wedding specialist company to create tailor-made wedding packages for couples that were looking for a wedding in the USA in locations like Florida, New York, Las Vegas and Hawaii.
But, because we were also getting so many enquiries from couples wanting weddings and honeymoons in other locations like Mauritius and the Caribbean, we decided to venture further abroad. The result was White Sand Weddings – a company dedicated to delivering absolutely everything a couple dreams of in the perfect romantic wedding abroad.

Since its launch in 2004, White Sand Weddings has gone from strength to strength. In 2009 we were awarded Top Destinations Weddings Travel Agency.
Today we have a team of six, each hand-picked for their specialist expertise in specific areas plus first-hand knowledge of some of the world’s most glamorous wedding destinations – from the USA (my specialisation) through to Mauritius and the Indian Ocean, Africa, Australia, the Caribbean, Far East, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Basically, whatever you have in mind and wherever you plan to hold your overseas wedding, you’ll have your own specialist wedding planner who can make your dreams come true.

Every year, each of our weddings specialists personally visit many of our hotels and resorts, discussing how we can offer our UK wedding couples an even more romantic and memorable wedding abroad.
Today we’ve got an enviable team of professionals in wedding resorts the world over – from wedding officiates and hotel owners through to florists and musicians plus your own personal on-the-spot wedding coordinator to ensure your Bid Day runs smoothly.
These relationships are vital and I believe that it is this high level of personal interaction and attention to detail that ensures that each and every wedding has that special and unique touch that no other wedding or travel specialist can provide.
